How to select a topic for IGCSE art and design?

It might become confusing to select a particular topic in art and design as this is your first step to get into your process of making your sheets , however there are a few things that you can keep in mind while doing this from my personal experience:

1. Go for the topic that you feel most connected with and something that you can be more experimental with.

2. Keep in mind if you can make this topic of yours aesthetically pleasing in a way because this makes your work look more attractive.

3. You have to take first hand observational studies or pictures, so choose your topic accordingly- make sure you can take pictures of it easily, example-"growth and decay" is a topic and this could be a tough one to take pictures of, however this topic could be very interestingly put if you invest the appropriate amount of time into it.

4. Don't just choose a topic because your fellow classmates told you to or because your teacher told you to because you can only get the best output if you choose the topic according to your interest.

5. Take some time in brainstorming your ideas of the topic so that it isn't tough for you to execute it later on.
